Distribution Center Manager

PetSmart is seeking qualified individual for a Department Manager position in our Distribution Center in Reno, NV. The responsibilities are to direct and coordinate all operational activities of the DC by performing these accountabilities:

 

As a Department Manager, you?ll manage all aspects and functions of a specific department. You?ll communicate with other department managers and with associates to ensure workflow. In addition, you?ll communicate with external vendors and retail stores and with management at the corporate level. You?ll manage all quality and safety issues and other responsibilities to ensure consistency in policy and procedure within the building. You will be responsible for coaching and training department supervisors and associates.

 



Qualified individuals will have at least 4 years of previous management/supervisory experience in manufacturing or distribution management. A college degree and ability to relocate are preferred.  The following are also requirements for the position:

?  Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access and Word applications and knowledge of EXE and WMS systems - PKMS preferred.

?  Ability to communicate in effective, professional and efficient manner.

?  Ability to motivate associates to achieve outstanding results.

?  Ability to multi-task and delegate work to meet daily goals of on time delivery to customers.

?  Ability to handle frequent changes with flexibility to complete work goals.

?  Experience with performance measurement systems in productive operational setting.

?  Experience in the retail industry is a plus.
