Distribution Manager

Responsible for all shift activity within the Distribution Center to include receiving, stocking and shipping. Responsible for the recruiting and hiring of all shift personnel. Handles all disciplinary action for the group. Performs annual performance appraisals for all direct reports. Accountable for manpower planning and addressing any staffing needs as well as maintaining overtime within reasonable levels across all departments. Responsible for coordinating efforts with the Distribution Coordinator and Trans Supervisor. Responsible for a distributed portion of the Region budget and achievement of plan. Responsible for ensuring total QRA, Environmental and Regulatory Agency compliance. This will also include any necessary training. Supports and assist the coordination of QED activity in the region. This will include coordinating efforts with Transportation, Distribution, and Sales. Responsible for managing the private transportation program. Responsible for security of the facility. Responsible for attaining productivity goals. Implement changes to the Transportation, Operations and Health & Safety Manuals. Some travel may be required.

Strong people skills; proven track record of employee development and facility management. Strong communication skills; ability to effectively direct a team and provide consistent follow-up. Strong leadership; ability to drive empowerment philosophy in our day to day business. 2-4 years of experience in operations preferred. BA degree or equivalent experience.
