 Description

The Distribution Specialist is responsible for handling all incoming finished goods and packaging supplies from point of receipt to movement throughout warehouse locations in accordance with GMP and safety standards.

 Required Skills

Responsibilities & Duties


Reviews, evaluates and manages material requirements (REQ-MAT) report and replenish materials in the warehouse/production staging areas via RF terminals as required. Works closely with Purchasing to immediately address material issues
Receives and transfers packaging supplies, finished goods, and other miscellaneous supplies throughout the warehouse and the organization.
Documents material receipts, transfers, shipments and labeling according to GMP procedures
Pack and label finished goods
Operate United Parcel Service and FedEx software
Generate and cosign labels
Operate fork truck, company vehicles, and other material handling equipment.
Create bills of lading and contact carriers
Update master schedule to reflect correct status of shipments
Handle international shipments
Performs general cleaning tasks such as trash removal, floor sweeping, mopping, etc. in order to maintain a neat and orderly warehouse environment
Properly disposes of and stores waste as needed


 Required Experience

Requirements


High School Diploma required, Associate Degree preferred
Minimum of three years experience in GMP customized manufacturing warehouse environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Required to operate shipping and material handling equipment and lift/push/pull heavy materials (50lbs) and supplies.
