LSP Distribution Warehouse Manager

 

Summary

 

Manages day-to-day activities of manufacturer's remote distribution warehouse by performing the following duties: Receiving, Shipping, Inventory Management, Will-Call, Employee Management, and Safety.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities  (Other duties may be assigned)

 

? Reviews bills of lading for incoming merchandise.  Inspects products and accurately stores product while noting receipt and putaways in company's computer system.

 

? Assigns workers to specific duties, such as verifying amounts of and storing incoming merchandise and assembling customer orders for delivery.

 

? Manages the operation of a will-call pickup desk within the company's warehouse.

 

? Establishes operational procedures for verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of merchandise, and management of warehouse inventory accuracy that are consistent with the manufacturer?s policies and procedures.

 

? Coordinates activities of distribution warehouse with activities of internal and external customer requirements, record control and third party freight carriers to ensure merchandise availability.

 

? Directs reclamation of damaged merchandise.

 

? Maintains and provides on-site management of facility including responsibility for all facility maintenance and adherence to the organization?s safety policies and procedures.

 Requirements

 

? Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or five to ten  years of supervisory experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

? Certified Forklift operator/Trainer Certification

 

? Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. 

 

? To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Inventory software; Order processing systems; Project Management software; and Microsoft Office (Excel, Access and Word)
