Division Manager / Operations Manager / Dispatch Manager / Freight Forwarding / Air / LTL Truckload

Jet Delivery located in La Verne, CA, is currently seeking an experienced Manager for its Air & Ground Logistics division and dispatch department. This may be one individual who assumes both responsibilities, or two separate positions.

 

Jet Delivery has been specializing in same-day transportation and logistics for fifty-five years and has offices in Los Angeles and San Francisco. In 2000, Jet Delivery opened its Air & Ground Logistics division, which specializes in expedited truckload, premium airfreight, and logistics. As Manager, you will start with a staff two operations coordinators plus employee?s drivers and owner operators.

 

In this position you will be responsible for managing operations and business development. Your initial role will be to work with your staff to develop the operational infrastructure to support additional business. This will include strengthening and creating new relationships with vendors and establishing operational guides for undeveloped services. Upon laying the ground work, you will be given revenue and profit goals and be responsible for creating business opportunities for the growth of your division. This will include developing new relationships and exploring the needs of several thousand existing Jet Delivery customers?as well as working with an existing three person sales force to promote your division.



 

In the position of dispatch manager, the individual will take oversight of seven dispatchers and 100+ drivers in the Los Angeles Metro Area. These vehicles range in size from pick-up trucks, cargo vans, 8-12? mini-stakes, and 24? straight trucks that specialize in emergency pick-up and delivery. To be clear, the dispatch manager will not be someone who spends their entire day analyzing reports. The ideal candidate will be a working manager. This includes working within the dispatch department so you will have a complete understanding of what goes on, and the problems that need to be addressed to ensure optimal customer satisfaction.
