Driver III

Position Profile:

 Able to operate one or more types of company vehicles according to safety standards.Directly interfaces with customers and may perform routine customer service and order entry duties, identifying opportunities for other or additional company products and services.Delivers products (portable exchange tanks, salt, chemicals, filters, water, etc.) on a regularly scheduled basis to customers.Requires valid driver?s license (in some cases CDL), ability to read maps, and High School diploma or equivalent and excellent communication skills.

 

Essential Functions:

 Delivers/exchanges all types of P/E tanks; bottled water; salt/chemicals as required.Makes minor equipment repairs when necessary.  Replaces hoses and gaskets, cleans brine tanks, resets controls, sets up coolers, etc.Documents all repairs and deliveries in route book each day.Collects and documents receipt of money from customers and submits to manager daily.Completes all paperwork in a legible manner: delivery tickets, route book, vehicle safety log, etc. as required.Responsible for vehicle inspection/organization and customer keys on a daily basis.Ability to operate carts, dollies, fork lifts, lift gates, hand trucks, hand tools.Communicates in a positive manner with customers and maintains positive public relations for the company.Abides by all company policies as contained in the Employee and Safety Handbooks.Wears the company uniform as required.

 

Physical Requirements:

 Job requires lifting and carrying, or otherwise transporting objects weighing 50-200 pounds repeatedly (more than 70% of the time).  A significant amount of time is typically spent walking, standing and climbing stairs.Body movements typically used:  bending, stooping, squatting, climbing, reaching above the shoulder, crouching, balancing, pushing and pulling.Hand movements typically used:  twisting, turning, pulling, pushing, tapping, hitting and squeezing.Must be able to meet all physical requirements in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations as prescribed by the U.S. Department of Transportation.Subject to outside environmental conditions.Works in environments which may contain water, salt brine and/or water treatment chemicals with use of protective equipment as required.Must wear safety equipment as required.
