Maersk Line is the world?s largest provider of containerized transportation solutions with a service network that spans six continents. Right now, we are seeking a highly organized team player to coordinate the logistics of marine container movement throughout the United States.

 

Working at our offices in the SouthPark area of Charlotte, NC, you will be responsible for maintaining daily contact with customers, railroads, trucking companies and brokers to effectively control equipment inventory levels at all supply points. This will involve providing complete booking information and sending allocation requests to Intermodal dispatch regions, updating the Domestic Operating System with current equipment allocation information, creating work orders, and tracing containers from origin to destination including interchanges between railroads and motor carriers. You?ll also assist with the customer service function by handling customer phone calls, reserving/booking equipment, and helping to resolve equipment and service issues.

 

Preferred qualifications for the position include a Bachelor?s degree and/or at least one year of industry background which includes general transportation, equipment/asset management control, or customer service experience. Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel & Access), good organizational and analytical skills, and a commitment to customer satisfaction are required. Above average interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively under deadline pressure are essential.
