Export Customer Service/Operations

Shipco Transport Inc., a leading international cargo transportation company, has immediate openings at our Atlanta branch for experienced Export Operations and Export Customer Service personnel to join our growing team. 

 

We are looking for candidates who are dynamic, highly motivated, reliable and who understand and appreciates the importance of a team effort.
A minimum of 2 years ocean LCL export pperations, customer service, or documentation experience is required, preferrably from a NVOCC background, but a candidate with VOCC or freight forwarder experience may also apply.
For LCL Operations, candidate must be knowledgeable in all aspects LCL export cargo receiving, container load and stowage, equipment procurement, including verifying marks, numbers and piece counts, destinations, hazardous information, freight discrepanices, customer service and also documentation requirements including bills of lading, dock receipts and manifests. Strong data entry required.

Candidate that is hazardous certified, proficient in cargo utilization and loading, with an aptitude for cost analysis, is preferred.
For LCL Customer Service, candidate must be knowledgeable in handling bookings, rate quotations, reading and supplying sailing schedule information, researching and resolving freight discrepancies and customer complaints, schedulding trucking arrangements, and corresponding with overseas offices and agents.


  Knowledge of ocean export operations and/or documentation would be a plus. Hazardous 

  certified or knowledge of hazardous, is preferred.

Strong data entry skills required in both positions.
Candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Candidate must be detailed oriented and enjoy a fast paced, multi-tasking, customer service minded environment.
