FACILITY MANAGER

Progressive Logistics Services (PLS), a third party warehouse services provider, is seeking a Facility Manager for our operation in the Cranbury, New Jersey area. PLS provides truck unloading, loading and freight running services for our customer's warehouse facility. This is a 1st shift, Monday to Friday operation. 


We are seeking a candidate who will provide leadership and direction with respect and dignity to our diversified workforce; successful management experience in the warehousing /transportation industry; and a positive customer service orientation. A college education is a positive consideration.

Additional position requirements include:
- P /L responsibility; identify controllable variances and take corrective action
- efficient workforce scheduling and labor controls
- recruiting, selection, and training of workforce
- provide training /development for first line supervisors
- assure safe work practices, OSHA compliance, and accident prevention
- monitor work related injuries
- manage dock receiving, loading and freight running operation
- assure accurate and timely operational reports
- maintain a positive relationship with warehouse operations management and transportation/ delivery personnel
