FedEx Home Delivery, which began operation in March 2000, is the first small-package delivery service dedicated to the residential delivery. The company is a service of FedEx Ground, the fastest growing transportation company is US history. As part of the $22 billion transportation and logistics powerhouse FedEx Corporation, FedEx Home Delivery has access to the resources needed to continue expanding service to increasing demands. With the growth of FedEx Home Delivery and its new accounts, FHD is currently seeking a Full-Time Service Manager.
What does a Full Time Service Manager do?
The Full-Time Service Manager will be responsible for managing the pick-up and delivery as well as the loading and unloading of trailers and vans. Recruits, hires, trains and evaluates package handlers and service manager. This position is also responsible for creating a safe work environment including monitoring the maintenance of equipment, conducting presort meetings, and troubleshooting problems on each sort. Plans sort strategy based on projected volume, head count, and other special circumstances. Will conduct customer service rides to ensure safe driving and observe technique. Responsible for the overall quality of the delivery end of our business.
Do you qualify?
Good PC skills (MS Office) along with strong communication and interpersonal skills. A clean driving record is a must. Prior leadership/operations management experience (transportation or distribution preferred). Excellent leadership, and communication skills. BA/BS required.
Position available in Suffolk County
