Facilities Generalist

If your answer is yes we have the position for you. Volt Services Group is currently seeking a qualified facilities generalist. In this role you will be responsible for the following. Support the services group (50%) - Perform daily mail sorting and delivery throughout the site. Pick up mail at Post Office daily. Perform daily conference room set-ups including: generation of daily set up request reports from the conference room scheduler, set up of requested audio visual equipment, ensure all equipment is fully functional, understand the proper operation of all AV equipment and troubleshoot problems as required. Keep conference rooms stocked and inspect daily. Provide back up for shipping and receiving staff. Maintain copy paper areas and troubleshoot repairs for copy machines on an as needed basis. Assist with office moves. Demonstrate proficiency in the use of the site work order system. Perform miscellaneous duties as required, which may include: providing back up to receptionist, provide escort to various service vendors, maintain flags.
Support the maintenance group (50%) - Provide support to the maintenance staff. Perform duties such as: weekly fire protection system inspections, painting, develop task list generated from monthly safety inspection reports, pick-up universal waste and transport to waste area, maintain regular trash pickup with vendor, assist with warehouse upkeep, and assist in keeping the site clean. Assist with general maintenance duties and repairs (cleaning roof drains, changing light bulbs), assist with snow shoveling in the winter months. General buildings and grounds upkeep.

Requirements:
Qualified candidate will have the following skill set:

Must be customer-focused team player, able to work independently on a daily basis with little or no supervision.

Must have good interpersonal skills and have a positive attitude.

Basic computer literacy and working knowledge of MS Office products.

Must have valid driver's license.

Prior experience in a service environment helpful.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
