Facilities Mechanic III

Under the direction of the Director – Transportation and Customer Operations Enhancements, this position is responsible for performing various construction, maintenance, modifications, installations and repair functions that are moderately complex to the facility and facility equipment. Position is a supporting role for other facility maintenance activities.

- Installs, repairs, and performs preventive maintenance of plant equipment i.e. (boilers, compressors, lab equipment, material handling equipment, HVAC and switch gear, etc.).
- Detects defective materials or questionable conditions and make corrective recommendations to the department supervisor.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
- Responsible for identifying and ordering proper maintenance parts and supplies ensuring all supplies are on hand when needed.
- May be required to work off shift and/or weekends.
- Must be available for call in activity.
- Updates the Blue Mountain Calibration Manager system after scheduled PMs are completed.

- High school education or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 3 years or equivalent experience in industrial and/or equipment maintenance including wide variety of equipment.
- Must be able to logically organize tasking.
- Must be able to work independently and without supervision or within a team environment.
- Ability to recommend appropriate repair strategy.
- Job requires a high degree of reliability.
- Strong knowledge of a wide variety of equipment including boilers, compressors, lab equipment, manufacturing equipment, material handling equipment, and support equipment.
- Strong knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and controls preferred.
