Our client is looking for experience in Brokerage freight sales and operations.

 Position Responsibilities

 

?Market and sell Brokerage Freight.

? Secure third party capacity for loads.

? Negotiate rates with carriers and clients on a daily basis.

? Understand the needs of the carriers, as well as manage the service they supply to Grimes Transportation Brokerage.

? Develop a long term plan to enhance third party capacity performance through the use of Continuous Improvement Methods.

? Monitor daily progress of our third party carriers. Obtain timely updates from the carriers to ensure we have our loads in the proper status.

? Obtain billing information from carriers to ensure we properly bill our customers.

? Monitor and update carrier insurance requirements.

? Post loads in your region to outside posting companies as necessary.

? Source new carriers to add to the carrier base.

? Ensure the carrier has proper operating authority and  understands the carrier’s freight needs.

 Job Requirements/Qualifications

 

? Freight brokerage experience helpful.

? Experience in a sales related field helpful.

? Sound judgment, initiative and professional communication skills must be exhibited at all times when dealing with the partner carriers and customer service associates.

? Possess effective interpersonal communication skills (including feedback) when dealing with internal customer service and foreign carriers.

? Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize workload.

? Strong negotiation skills required.

? Sound financial judgment.

? Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

? Attention to detail and accuracy.
