Household Goods Dispatcher

Atlantic Relocation Systems is a quality focused, customer driven, relocation/transportation organization with eleven full service moving & storage locations representing Atlas Van Lines throughout the United States. Our menu of services consists of Household Goods Relocation (both corporate and residential), Electronics & Exhibits Transportation, Office & Industrial Moving, and Warehousing/Distribution Services (both nationally and internationally). We are currently in search of an Household goods dispatcher at our Corporate location, Atlanta Georgia.

Job Responsibilities Include:

- Communicating with drivers and staff regarding transportation requirements, loading and delivery information.

- Making arrangements and reservations for specialized equipment necessary to complete the job and communicating the details to the drivers.

- Assisting the drivers to maintain quality & safety compliance to include communicating with their branch and Safety Director to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.

- Computer/data entry and maintaining accurate reporting of all loading, deliveries, weights and special circumstances pertaining to the shipments.

- Assisting planners with locating hauling resources internally and externally to provide hauling opportunities.

- Responsibility for ensuring that loading and delivery commitments are made in accordance with our national account contracts and commitments.

- Working closely with the sales department to support the overall sales effort and to provide quality service to our valued customers

Candidates Must Possess:

- Thorough knowledge of the van line moving & storage industry with a minimum of 1 year industry experience, preferably working for a major van line agent

- A through understanding of DOT regulations and requirements

- Experience dispatching a large fleet of interstate drivers

- A quality driven, customer focused, mindset

- Operations knowledge of the various industry product lines including: Household Goods & Special Products Transportation, Office & Industrial Moving, and Warehousing/Distribution
