Import/Export Coordinator ? Job Code # 2535

 

Position Summary: Through administrative support functions, assists in import/export processing, and Suzuki compliance to U.S. Customs & Border Protection regulations.  Performs audit and account coding of import/export broker, and U.S. Customs duty invoicing for all air, sea, and truck shipments of Suzuki products imported into the U.S.  Monitors Suzuki?s receipt of NAFTA Certificates of Origin for all imported and exported products as regulated by U.S. and foreign customs offices.  Performs import audits of anti dumping duties, quantity discrepancies, and transaction values which are reported to U.S Customs.  Monitors import classifications for spare parts to provide complete compliance with U.S. Customs Moderation Act.  Coordinates all air shipments of high profile Suzuki specialty products for timely delivery to U.S. locations of products for time sensitive testing and show purposes.

 

Minimum Qualifications:  Two years related experience.  Effective communication skills.  Ability to work effectively with employees at different levels.  Able to meet deadlines on short notice.  Prefer background in Import Classification, International Traffic, or U.S. Customs Regulations.  A four year college degree or equivalent preferred.  Academic courses in computers, business and international traffic.  PC skills; MS Excel, Word and Access.  Requires excellent oral and written skills.
