FedEx Trade Networks Transport & Brokerage Inc. a leading U.S. provider of international logistics services, is seeking Customs Brokerage Customer Service Representatives: experienced and non-experienced.
The primary purpose of this position is to provide our customers with the highest quality service through providing consistent, knowledgeable customer service and delivering resolution for the timely release of freight. Working in an office environment you will perform high volume customs clearance processes on key customs brokerage accounts.
Responsibilities:Provide and ensure a high level of customer service by developing and maintaining a strong relationship with the customer?s front line personnel and management in their various operating divisions and subsidiaries. Prepare, analyze, and/or submit documentation to the appropriate parties (US Customs, Agents, Clients) in order to ensure they are in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations relating to Customs. This position will clear both air and ocean. Responsible for correct customs entries for clearance of in-bond cargo through U.S Customs and facilitating delivery of freight to customers. This position will foster strong individual customs entry processing skills, knowledge of proper classifications (FDA, OGA, HTS, ABI) and government agencies. Anticipate and resolve problems that could delay the timely release of freight. Provide high quality service to the customer in their international transactions by coordinating Customs clearance, transportation, warehousing, post entry activities and other required services. Maintain relationships with correspondent brokers, T&B, and other service providers to ensure that agents exceed the customers' service requirements. Complete accurate data input or corrections into computer files.
Requirements:
? High school diploma/equivalent.
? Proficient computer skills.
? Strong customer service, organizational & communication (written/oral) skills.
? Strong knowledge of US Customs regulations & other federal regulations and requirements w/respect to CHB expertise.
? One year of work/field experience preferred with knowledge of classification/entry writing, Harmonized Tariff, FDA, FCC, and Import documentation.
