DaySummary of duties

The I/C Coordinator serves as a liaison between Eastern Connection and the Independent Contractor (I/C) rendering courier services.  The Coordinator selects and processes paperwork for all new and current contractors; analyses daily, weekly, and monthly activity of all contracted I/Cs through absentee reports, and monitors couriers activity using established time logs.

Essential Responsibilities

 

 

 

 

 

 

?  Hires and trains new I/Cs.

?  Schedules and conducts formal and informal meetings with contractors to access profitability serving Eastern Connection.

?  Schedules and conducts formal and informal meetings with contractors to ensure their vehicles are performing with the guidelines of their service contract.

?  Maintains, monitors, and updates all records and files including insurance policies, driver?s licenses, registration, and compliance with Department of Transportation requirements.

?  Prepares and finalizes all paperwork regarding indoctrination which includes:

1.  Completed Information Form

2.  Completed Driver Information Form.

3.  Copy of current Driver?s License. Information Form.

4.  Completed Vehicle Information Form.

5.  Copy of current Vehicle Registration.

6.  Completed W-9 Tax Withholding Form.

7.  Copy of Social Security Card or Employer ID number.

8.  Copy of Insurance Policy and/or Renewal Cards.

9.  Fully completed and signed Contract.

10.  Fully completed and signed Pager/Radio Lease Agreement.

11.  Fully completed and signed I/C Maintenance Form.

12.  Takes I/C picture for Photo I.D. Badge.

?  Handles I/C complaints.

?  Reviews with contractors all special assignments, pay researches, compensations, and rates.

?  Works with operations departments to fill vacancies.

?  Places and monitors all contractor ads in local print media and provide analysis of results.

?  Provides management with daily, weekly, and monthly reports that analyze contractor payroll.

?  Develops and maintains on-going communication between all operations departments and contractors.

?  Provides contractors with assistance necessary to ensure profitability and to make sure clearly defined standards are met to enhance their earning power.

?  Maintains and updates communications equipment records in corporate database which includes processing and monitoring the distribution of equipment (radio, pager, Nextel) and follow-through on equipment contracts with independent contractors hired by Eastern Connection.

?  Serves as backup for Dispatch.
