Inventory (Materials Management) Specialist

SUMMARY: Responsible for inspecting and receiving materials to stockroom, maintaining accurate inventory count in stockroom, and preparing and pulling kits for manufacturing department, recording work orders and stock keeping transactions into an ERP System.

 

Picks and ships finished goods - Completes related records, reports, and paperwork. 

 

Ensures that shipping and receiving functions are completed in accordance with Company standards and procedures.

 

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.

 



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform incoming inspections of parts/products and counts of materials.

 

Move parts/products and store materials into stockroom.


Accurately receive parts into inventory.


Update inventory counts to ERP system. Reconcile discrepancies on inventory reports by accounting for all variances. Review all transfer and receipt paperwork to locate administrative errors. Examine all areas of the warehouse visually to locate missing units.


Maintain accurate materials control within stockroom ? perform cycle counts and periodic inventory.

 

Maintain accurate materials control of workbench based stock.


Prepare and pull kits for manufacturing department.

 

Receive completed manufacturing work orders, enter data into ERP System


Prepare products for shipping.


As required, perform other light assembly work assigned by supervisor.

Organizes files and paperwork in the warehouse to account of every item in stock.  Ensuring that items sent to another location were actually received; Verifying that all products shipped are received; Inputting information into a computer.

 

Perform other duties as assigned.
