Logistics/Brokerage Director

Logistics/Brokerage Director ? A 350 truck dry van carrier based in Dallas, TX is seeking a Director to lead its Logistics/Brokerage Division.  The Director will analyze and prospect new business on national, regional, and local levels, cultivate existing clients and strategically sell additional services to support brokerage operations; directly establish and negotiate pricing and rate structures for all brokered business; develop marketing, advertising and promotional strategies targeting the national account base; recruit, hire and develop Account Specialists/Brokers; implement new strategies to enhance news business generation through sense of urgency sales skills.  The position requires extensive skill in budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning; new business development through sales efforts and customer retention in highly competitive markets; and staff development.  This position will report to the company President.  The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years in a Logistics/Brokerage related field; Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience; competency in Microsoft Excel and Word.  The Company provides medical dental, vision and a 401 (k) with Company match.  Compensation will depend on the candidate?s education and experience.
