Job Description
This position is more than just dispatching drivers throughout the day. A large portion of the job is to track issues as well as collect data for the transportation manager on making effective changes to help our bottom line. Being able to multi-task is crucial due to the high volume of deliveries and customer service questions. Effective communication with our teams is essential to our environment and potential growth.
Duties
- Create Daily Routes
- Schedule manpower and trucks daily
- Track deliveries throughout the day
- Be in touch with drivers on all issues
- Type up issues on spreadsheet with solutions to each problem
- Make quick and efficient decisions
- Analyze and make changes to dispatch (work hand in hand with transportation manager)
- Push our productivity on a daily basis
Qualifications
- 2+ years of dispatching experience
- 2+ years of Microsoft Office usage
- Superior knowledge of the Puget Sound
- Great communication skills
- 2+ years of cost analysis in transportation industry
