Logistics Manager

A client located in North Austin has an immediate position available for a Logistics Manager.


Reporting to the Operations Director the Manager will have the following key responsibilities:

-Ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operations and inventory management activities
-Management of all warehouse operations including receiving, inventory movements and shipping functions.
-Inventory integrity for warehouse and achievement of all KPI targets.
-Communication to supplier representatives.
-Monitoring and reporting on the performance of all IT applications used.
-A net contributor to ongoing process improvement and development of work flows to achieve maximum efficiencies.
-Identifying training/coaching needs and working with those responsible for training to identify effective solutions which take cognisance of the lead time, cost and productivity requirements.
-Liason with other functions to ensure smooth and efficient upstream and downstream processes.
-Collection and maintenance of all records and other relevant information.
-Monitoring of the performance all suppliers.
-Monitoring staff attendance, time keeping, holidays and training needs.
-Monitoring and directing operatives to adhere to accepted safe-working practices at all times by effective implementation of the company?s health & safety policy, and use of the safe systems of work.
-Ensuring that quality levels are maintained at the budgeted levels by effective
-Implementation of the company?s quality policy and procedures.
