Logistics / Transportation (Hub) Analyst
The person in this position is responsible for the following:
-- Develops statistical models to support ongoing hub and feeder models
-- Develops models for transportation and other aspects of supply chain. Includes optimizing
the delivery routes and frequency of hub routes using linear programming techniques
-- Identifies the optimal number and geographic location of hub stores.
-- Develops ongoing process analysis and adhoc reporting that will lead to improvements in our business models.
-- Analyze data to help define problems and identify possible solutions for any unusual issues that arise on an ad hoc basis.
-- Monitors store replenishment systems and Hub and Feeder network results.
-- Provide data and analysis to cross-functional teams. Assists other departments with hub / replenishment issues.
Requirements / Ideal Candiate(s):
* Bachelor's degree (BA, BS), or equivalent in Mathematics, Logistics, MIS, Finance, or other technical field. A Master?s degree is strongly preferred.
* 5 Years minimum experience with data modeling, statistical analysis, financial analysis, or other quantitative field.
* Excellent analytical and computer skills in SAS, Excel, SQL, and database development in Access or Visual FoxPro
* PowerPoint or related productivity applications
* Excellent written & verbal communication skills / Strong problem solving ability.
* General understanding of all elements of supply chain.
* Must be able to work in US without sponsorship
* Prefer candidates local to the Memphis areaa. Relocation may not apply to this position.
