MATERIAL HANDLER FOR FORTUNE 500 COMPANY

The Opportunity: This position receives, selects, packs, stores, and distributes warehouse inventory and reports to the Warehouse Supervisor.  This position is located at our Springfield, Missouri location.  Specific responsibilities are:

 

Responsibilities
Selects or packs customer orders.
Loads or unloads delivery vehicles and assembles stock onto pallets, warehouse trucks, racks, or shelves.
Opens cartons, bundles, and other containers using hand tools.
Conveys stock to designated area by hand, handtruck, or nutting truck equipment.
Weighs, counts, and records units of stock to ensure conformance to customers standards.
Maintains warehouse in an orderly and clean state.
Performs miscellaneous clerical duties.
May perform shipping and receiving responsibilities.
May drive van or light vehicle to deliver customer orders.
May perform counter sales responsibilities as backup personnel.
Packs and labels filled customer orders.

Requirements
High School Graduate or G.E.D preferred.
Six months to one year experience in warehouse or material handling.
OSHA certified in safe operation of forklift, wire-cutting and stretch-wrap equipment.
Basic reading and math skills.
CRT skills helpful.
Needs knowledge of Department of Transportation truck drivers regulations.
Needs chauffeurs or commercial driver's license.
Attention to detail.
Knowledge of warehousing procedures and security regulations.
Ability to walk and move, freely and regularly lift 70 pounds of stock.
