Job Description


Thorough knowledge of distribution and warehouse logistics. This position will be located in Lafayette, LA.


 


Recipe to Succeed:


 





Manage all warehouse functions in the warehouse




Directing all activity surrounding the receiving, selection and loading of all products in and out of the warehouse




Achieve all efficiency targets in the warehouse to hit financial targets




Manage a fleet of at least 26 delivery vehicles




Maintenance of fleet, driver certifications, safety records and log books




Manage Transportation Manager through their staff to ensure all trucks are routed properly to hit efficiency targets and delivery windows




Achieve a set target of on time deliveries and fill rate efficiencies on the trucks.




Manage warehouse fill rates and shorts




Ensures that the customer gets what they order and when they want it




Manage all service contracts associated with the facility, (office cleaning, truck washing, repairs, etc)




Ensures that the employees of Coastal have the environment they need to achieve all goals.





Necessary Ingredients:


 





4 year college degree




Minimum of 5 years food service operations/warehouse management experience




Excellent oral and written communication skills
