Mail Handler

A Postal Service has 15 positions opening in the Allentown area on August 22, 2006. This position entails Loading mail onto machines and clearing minor jams; load/unload trucks; empties containers of mail; open/dump sacks of mail; transport mail and empty equipment throughout facility; hand stamp odd/over-sized mail. Requires the ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds on a continuous basis and up to 70 pounds on an intermittent basis.

The payrate is $13.92/hr plus an additional $2.36/hr (up to 40 hours worked) for health and welfare benefits. Candidate must be extremely flexible with hours. There will be nights and weekends with no definite end time. Shifts available will be 2nd/3rd shift. No shift has set hours. Employee leaves when job finishes. Some days position will finish after only 6 hours while some will be 10-12 hours. These shifts run 6 days a week and will most likely be working on the weekends.

Successful candidate must pass Criminal background, Drug Screen, Social Security Check, Fingerprint Check, and a 5 year credit check to see where you have lived and worked.
