Manager, Field Engineering (relocation expenses covered)

Offering full relocation package but will look at candidates from states that border OH.

 

 



Job Requirement:

 Bachelor Degree is required - prefer Industrial Engineering/ manufacturing/ mechanical/ chemical engineering degrees?will not look at Electrical Engineering degree5+ years experience in transportation/ Warehouse management or Engineering ManagementExperience managing/leading people (even if they don't have a manager title)Presentation skillsMust have good negotiating and persuasion skills, be able to work well with union and management, line and staff personnel as well as independent contractors.  Requires 35% travel.

 

 


Job Description:

 Align and develop engineering resources to provide support to the field and drive operational performance results through procedure implementation, measurement, and compliance and detailed engineering analysis.Ensure compliance to standardized processes and effective utilization of tools-utilize assessment process and ensure appropriate intervention.Drive performance improvement at focus and project facilities.  Oversee bid development, layout changes, and route design changes and ensure their effectiveness.Manage the processes for projecting manpower requirements, tonnage and assist in short-interval management, planning for peak, slumps, and holidays, etc.Ensure that the engineers provide appropriate and accurate analysis for facilities.  Develop skills and capability of all Field Engineers.
