Material Handler - Warehouse

We are looking for energetic, customer-focused professionals who can handle the tasks of Material Handler in our?warehouse at our Martinez branch.? You will be responsible for receiving, selecting, packing and/or distributing and putting away warehouse inventory. Tasks may include but are not limited to: selecting and packing customer orders; loading and unloading delivery vehicles; assembling stock onto shelves or pallets; opening cartons, bundles and other containers using hand tools; weighing, counting and recording units of stock to ensure conformance to customer standards; and practicing good housekeeping by maintaining the warehouse in an orderly and clean state.

Work Schedule: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday

The Requirements:

High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience required. Prior experience in material handling desired. Must possess a basic understanding of math; the ability to read, comprehend and proofread (to ensure accuracy of the tasks you perform); and a strong attention to detail. Must be able to lift 70 pounds unassisted on a regular basis within prescribed Company safe place standards; self-motivated; goal oriented; able to multi-task; able to work effectively with others; and able to complete tasks quickly and accurately. Must be open to operating a forklift (prior experience preferred). Familiarity with the use of computers is a plus as is working knowledge of SAP. Enthusiasm for exceeding customer expectations is a must!
