Job Summary:

Primary responsibilities are to establish and operate shipping, receiving, material and inventory function within the CyVera subsidiary of Illumina, in accordance with Illumina policies



Job duties include but are not limited to: Support R&D, production and shipping schedules. Responsible for picking, packing, shipping and generation of all shipping documentation. Ensure employees understand and adhere to department procedures and company policies. Provide training for employees as needed. Resolve shipping & receiving issues with related departments or freight carriers. Responsible for pulling and kitting materials for production work orders, replenishing production floor inventory and fulfilling IIT requests, and transact all material/inventory movements to and from the stockroom Maintain control and organization of all stockroom locations. Responsible for ensuring inventory is labeled according to procedures. Perform daily stock room cycle counts. Responsible for the movement of supplies and equipment throughout the Wallingford office of Illumina.Assist in performing Shipping data entry functions including use of FedEx power ship and UPS online service so as to generate shipping forms, register and track shipments. Performing receiving functions including: reconciling PO?s (packing slip/contents/PO), coordinating deliveries to end users or designated drop off points, notifying Purchasing of discrepancies in items, quantities, etc. and assisting in the reconciliation when required. Maintain documentation to reflect the effectiveness and efficiency of department activities. Acquire and maintain a clear understanding of the technologies utilized in Illumina?s products, parts, and services. Establishes and maintains cooperative relationships with all departments contacted in the course of work. Perform other related tasks as required.

 

Education and Experience:Requires AS degree in business or related field and 3 years of experience or a High school diploma or equivalent with 7+ years Experience preparing import/export shipping documents and coordinating international shipments a must. Thorough experience with UPS, FedEx, DHL shipping systems. Hands-on experience with packaging operations. Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs to a 36-inch height.
