EquipTech?  Field Service Technician

 

The Field Service Technician is responsible for scheduling and delivery of equipment to the customer in a timely and professional manner, including educating the patient/caregiver on the operation and safe use of equipment.  Responsible for equipment and warehouse maintenance and tracking of inventory at all times; compliance with EquipTech? standards. 

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

1) Consistently embrace the CustomerCair? Promise.

 

2) Responsible for delivering equipment in accordance with arranged schedule to the customer in a timely and professional manner.

 

3) Instructs and demonstrates patient/caregiver/nurse on proper and safe use of equipment. 

 

4) Loads equipment in an orderly and secure manner in accordance with EquipTech? Policies.

 

5) Drives safely and defensively obeying all traffic laws.

 

6) Appropriately routes and schedules deliveries based upon patient needs and efficiency of operations.

 

7) Provides safe environment for the patient at all times.

 

8) Checks electrical outlets for power whenever delivering electrically powered Home Medical Equipment.

 

9) Is available to rotate on-call with field service technicians.

 

10) Reports unusual occurrences regarding patients or property to Senior Director ofLogistics.



 

11)  Responsible for equipment and warehouse maintenance and tracking of inventory at all times; compliance with

 Equip Tech standards.

 

Requirements:

 

Drug free

Must have and maintain a good motor vehicle report.

Must have ability to work flexible shifts, including some evenings and weekends.

Two Years Customer Service or comparable experience required.

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Customer Service oriented.

Must have a current state drivers license in the state the applicant resides.

Pass physical functional testing.

Complete all required training.

Ability to work independently.

Good communication skills both verbally and in writing.

 

Physical Demands:

1)  Occasionally available to travel nationally

2)  Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk and hear.

3)  Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms.

4)  Regularly required to lift, carry, push, pull, and/or move up to 75 plus pounds.

5)  Vision requirements are: close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
