About Us: 

Truckers Express Inc. is based in Missoula, MT with 18 terminals throughout the US. TEI specializes in machinery transportation in the continental United States,including AK, as well as Canada and Mexico via the Laredo, TX gateway.  TEI celebrates its 25th year in business as of 2006.  Currently TEI maintains a completely owner operator fleet with over 500 trucks nationwide.

 

The Position:  OTR Dispatcher

Qualifications: Must have 1 year verifiable experience in flatbed dispatch. Over the road experience is preferred rather than experience in CA intra-state dispatch.  Experience with moving and permitting over-dimensional loads and negotiating with drivers is a winning combination.

 

Compensation & Benefits:

TEI has a competitive package with negotiable salaries based on previous experience and pay history.  TEI provides direct deposit, 401K, HMO medical and/or Aflac coverage as desired with little employee contribution. TEI allows 6 paid sick days per year plus vacation and 6 paid holidays.

  Job duties include:

? Yard Inventory, assigning and dispatching trucks, ordering permits when required, track truck movements and communicate with drivers via phone, qualcomm and face to face. Dispatcher is accountable for making sure C.O.D.?s are collected by driver before the load is offloaded.  Dispatcher  needs a good memory for numbers, names and faces so that drivers do not feel they are an impersonal commodity.  Must be able to work with a high ethical standard and keep customer service/sales and customers involved in any problems as it relates to their individual shipments. Dispatchers are the last company check point to verify that customer has been given credit authorization.  It is essential that person be familiar with brokerage and carrier negotiation.

 

We seek candidates with the following credentials:

?  1 YEAR  verifiable experience in flatbed/heavy -haul over the road transportation.

Good written and verbal communication skills

General  working knowledge of trailers and equipment

Good typing and data entry skills

Good decision making skills
