The New York Parts Distribution Center (NY PDC) of Toyota's North American Parts Operations division is looking for diverse top-caliber associates who are committed to sustaining our success through continuous improvement and respect for the individual. NOTE: This position will be required to work a full time 2nd shift schedule, which is 3 pm to 12:30 am or 3 pm to 2:30 am when daily overtime is worked.

 

A 2nd-shift Operations Leader supervises activities in a vehicle parts pick, pack, and ship operation to Toyota and Lexus dealerships in the Northeast and East Coast.  A moderate amount of overtime may be required including occasional Saturdays. Upon completion of training on 1st shift (period to be determined), you will:Assist in directing the day-to-day 2nd shift operations and supervise hourly warehouse associates. Create and deploy short and medium range plans and develop strategies to increase total operational efficiency. Provide leadership in areas of associate relations, safety, team development and fire prevention. Work to attain PDC production goals and objectives by strengthening trust, building a cooperative relationship with hourly associates, and facilitating change in the daily promotion of TPS/TQM and Kaizen principles. Provide a safe, secure, and engaging work environment that fosters associate involvement, creativity and development in a team atmosphere.
