Outbound Dispatcher

Lykes Cartage Company is seeking an outbound freight dispatcher in San Antonio, Texas. Responsiblilities include, but are not limited to the following:Develop and maintain excellent service to internal and external customers at all times.Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company rules at all times.Dispatch drivers for shipment pickups and deliveries.Notify drivers of assignments and directs their activities so that cargo is picked up and delivered according to time-sensitive schedules.Read and understand information taken from computer database and enters related information into computer database.Assist, as required with shipment verification labeling, noting the count and condition of cargo received, loading shrink wrapping and noting any exceptions.Reasonably expected to perform forklift operator duties.Reasonably expected to help with the loading and unloading of trucks as needed.Process and prepare outbound freight for shipping.Complies with all TSA security requirements.Reasonably expected to perform driver duties under DOT.Other duties as assigned.Apply through Monster or alternatively you can fax resumes to 210-666-8570.
