Pricing Analyst

 

UPS Freight, one of America?s leading less-than-truckload transportation companies, is currently seeking a Pricing Analyst for our corporate office located in Richmond, VA. The Pricing Analyst has primary responsibility and accountability for managing and improving yields (prices) of "local" accounts within his/her assigned region(s). This includes extensive cost analysis of all pricing requests and bids submitted to pricing from sales, ensuring yields in his/her assigned area meet or exceed company minimums and if not, determine what action is needed to achieve acceptable levels and work with sales to present and implement such actions with our customers. This includes negotiating contracts, price increases, and presenting recommendations to pricing management and senior management when such action exceeds their approval authority.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to manipulate large amounts of data into useable information. This requires excellent PC skills particularly with spreadsheets and databases. An individual must have excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels throughout the organization. Extensive knowledge of the transportation industry and analytical skills are necessary.

The ideal candidate will have 4-year college degree, 5 years of LTL experience. Strong MS Access and Excel knowledge.
