Quality Engineer

Midwest Express Group is a world class staging and transportation center dedicated to providing logistic solutions throughout North America. We are currently seeking an experienced and innovative individual to fill the position of Quality Engineer.

 

Responsibilities:

 Serve as primary Quality Assurance resource for problem identification, resolution, and continuous improvement.Support concurrent efforts by participating in design development projects representing Quality Assurance. Develop, apply and maintain quality requirements and standards.Design and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection.Promote and execute quality standards, quality plans, documents and reportsDevelop, execute and analyze quality-reporting measures Report to Management on quality issues, trends and losses.Represent Management to assure that the Quality System is in conformance with the standards and requirements of the Quality Management System and maintain documented procedures for planning and implementation of the Quality Internal Audits.Accomplish activities of planning, coordination, communication and connecting among the different Operational and Administrative areas, to assure continuous improvement through the implementation and maintenance of the Quality System.Verify the effectiveness of the Quality System to assure the quality of the products and processes.Design, coordinate, review and document internal and external quality audits to evaluate the Quality Management System.Develop, Maintain, and Implement the procedures of the Quality Management System.Serve as the Quality Assurance representative to the Corporate Quality Council

 

Requirements:

 Bachelor?s degree in quality related field with minimum 2 to 3 years manufacturing and quality engineering experience including experience with TS 16949 and ISO requirementsExtensive knowledge on the implementation of the quality system with international standards ISO/TS 16949, Lean Manufacturing, Control Plans, PQCT, FMEA, etc.Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)Strong computer skills including all Micro-soft Office programs and AutoCADProject management experiencePrevious leadership experience a plus
