Receiving Clerk

Position Description:

The Express Restore division is responsible for providing the technical expertise needed to restore and refurbish a variety of systems equipment including telephony, data, and data network. This group consists of various levels of engineers focused on problem diagnosis, problem resolution, and repair of equipment. The engineers work at levels ranging from general diagnosis and repair all the way down to board level diagnosis and repair using complex equipment like digital oscilloscopes, copper and fiber test equipment, etc. This group also has responsibility for logistics, Quality Control, Customer Management, and Asset Recovery.

We are currently seeking Receiving Clerks for our Hanover Park, IL facility. Shipping and Receiving Clerks follow procedures and direction from the Shipping and Receiving Supervisors under the direction of the Logistics Manager in an effort to coordinate the timely and economic process of order procurement on a daily basis.

Role/Responsibilities:
Receive items by unloading vehicles; accepting deliveries; unpacking containers and logging receipts into inventory system.
Verify items received by inspecting condition of items; comparing count/measure of items to purchase order and packing list; noting discrepancies
Work in tandem with the company?s supervisors, managers and peers to secure a seamless transition from shift to shift and resolve any problems in the transition
Resolve daily problems pertaining to production, referring the situations to the supervisors or escalating the situation to the Logistics Manager
Maintain quality service by following organization standards
Maintain daily workload in order to meet shipping & receiving deadlines
The tasks are subject to change without notice in an effort to achieve the highest level of quality and efficiency
Initiate the refurbishment process by accurately receiving equipment into our customer order processing automation system for tracking within an asset based inventory.
Work collectively with other team members to achieve goals set forth by management.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required
2+ years receiving experience in warehouse environment or equivalent experience preferred
Must have experience using a Reach Truck (Crown and Pallet Jack)Must have experience using a RF scanner Repetitive lifting of 60+ lbs
Must be familiar with automated courier tools (i.e. Federal Express, DHL, Fed Ex, Airborne, UPS)
Must be able to work overtime and weekends upon request
Ability to multi-task and capable of adhering to new processes
Familiarity with Pick/Pack/Ship processes
Excellent communication skills
Professional in manner, an independent thinker and an employee motivator
Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word/Excel)
Detail oriented
Organizational and time management skills required
Demonstrated work history of consistent attendance and ability to meet deadlines
