SR.Industrial Engineer
Industrial Engineering Plans utilization of facilities, equipment, materials, and personnel to improve efficiency of operations. Establishes work measurement programs and analyzes work samples to develop standards for labor utilization. Assists in the development of systematic approaches for assuring high quality services. May contribute to the development of budgets and forecasts.
Tasks/Accountabilities include but are not limited to:
Manages and coordinates industrial engineering projects in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner; may coordinate projects with operations.Implements and administers effective planning, budgeting, and project proposal systems.
Prepares timely and actionable analyses, forecasts, and recommendations for assigned projects to ensure achievement of business objectives Evaluates current work methods for efficiency and quality; develops modifications and implements as appropriate.
Makes and implements recommendations for improved productivity, efficiency, accuracy, cost savings, safety, compliance, standardization, and revenue production procedures for a specific department by researching, reviewing, analyzing, and understanding business process and translating into business solutions.
Collects, organizes, monitors, and evaluates operational, service, and performance data through automated reporting and regular communication to management and business units, identifying trends and areas for improvement. Develops and monitors long-range research and development plans based on corporate strategic objectives.
Conducts studies to determine the most efficient sequence of operations and workflow by analyzing production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules.
Recommends methods for maximizing the utilization of production facilities and personnel by restructuring job duties, reorganizing work flow, relocating workstations and equipment, and purchasing equipment in adherence with governmental, health, safety, and other regulations.
Prepares cost estimates for proposed projects and evaluates cost factors; recommends changes in each Service Center pertaining to cost control, as well as time and motion, work standards, work methods, personnel utilization, service, and quality.
Assumes project management responsibilities as necessary; At higher levels, may provide functional guidance, advice and/or training to less experienced industrial engineers, process improvement professionals and analysts.
Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline and 8-11 years of experience in related field or MS/MA and generally 5-7 years of experience in related field. Professional certification required in some areas.
