SR. MATERIALS CLERK

We are looking for a Sr. Materials Clerk  to support our Warehouse Department.  Job responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

? Coordinate domestic and international shipping, receiving and/or inventory control communication from origin to destination locations including Rainin personnel.

? Work with CS department and international carriers for rate quotes, bookings and tracing of shipments.

? Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved into production and manufacturing.

? Picks and fills customer orders; ships via multiple domestic and international shipping manifest systems.

? Responds to requests to transfer materials.

? Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.

? Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.

? Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area.

? Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily cycle counts or discreet jobs.

? Audits finished goods and transactions originating from manufacturing and packaging.

? Monitors factory order material shortages and fills them in a timely manner.

? Removes samples of materials, labels with identifying information, and takes samples to laboratory for analysis.

? Lifts heavy objects by hand or with electric pallet jack.

? Operates industrial truck to assist in loading or moving materials and products.

? Responds to Sample, Supply, or Engineering requests.

? Assists in maintaining the Warehouse in a neat and orderly manner. 

 

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to three years related experience in warehouse shipping and receiving, packaging, or manufacturing operations and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Ability to operate material handling equipment, including a forklift.  Occasionally may be required to drive a Company vehicle to deliver merchandise.

 

This individual should have knowledge of Inventory software; Order processing systems and Word Processing software.

 

Forklift Certification; Valid California Driver?s license and clean Department of Motor Vehicles driving record.
