Safety and Maintenance Manager

Position Description: **local applicants only** Hands-on maintenance position that will require abilty to flex hours- some nights and weekend work may be needed at times.

? Work closely with Schneider/ APS management to ensure that all equipment and maintenance needs are met in a timely manner.

? Coordinate any work to be conducted by a third party with our building and operations managers.

? Work with the building managers and shift supervisors on identifying any areas that may require additional training or actions on their part to correct any damage or abuse areas.

? Train and supervise maintenance workers, mechanics and battery technicians.

? Train all battery technicians on proper handling procedures including hazardous material safety, personal protective equipment (PPE), and on the proper documentation used for logging battery changes.

? Monitor preventive maintenance for all buildings to ensure that they are properly assigned, completed and closed in Remedy as to meet customer standards.

? Review daily work orders received from building managers and supervisors and either assign the work to a company mechanic or notify the proper vendors to have work completed.

? Monitor vendors to ensure that standards for services are met and that requested material has been received.



Qualifications:

> Basic mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems trouble shooting and repair skills.

> At least 2 years supervisory experience
> Consistent compliance with all company policies and procedures.
> High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
> Strong team building and mentoring skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
> Demonstrated ability to adjust to sudden changes in customer demands or operational goals.
> Must be results driven have the ability to plan and execute work orders.
> Good working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
> Prior use of inventory management systems (WMS)helpful but not required.
> May be required to hold a certificate for safe driving and operating of material handling equipment, such as forklifts and cherry pickers.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and/or walk the dock for long periods of time.
