Shipping Coordinator

Description of Company's Business:  Wholesale distributor of footwear, apparel, skateboards, and accessories 

 

Position/Title:  Lead/Shipping Coordinator

 

Reports to:  Warehouse Manager

 

Job Description:

Exports

?Prepare shipping documents (commercial invoice, packing lists)

? Instruct nominated freight forwarded to pick up shipment and sent to destination

? Daily planning of routing customer orders as required.

? Fax signed bill of lading and shipping lists to customers as required. Generate shipping address labels as required.

? Forward flight and/or vessel details for international shipments.

General Warehouse Lead

? Organize the receipt, storage, packing and despatch of goods.

? Supervise day to day order picking

Stock Warehousing

? Accurate and timely warehousing of stock

? Fast,  efficient and disciplined management of stock unpacking

Stock Picking

? Ensure accurate and timely picking of all retail stock deliveries

Stock Deliveries

? Ensure deliveries within agreed time frames

Warehouse housekeeping

? Standards and disciplines met regarding housekeeping

Staff Management

? Supervision and performance management of employees

Additional Duties

? Undertaking additional duties as directed by Management from time to time.

 

Qualifications: 

? A minimum of 3 years previous experience within a medium to large sized distribution center.

? Proven track record in the supervision or management of a large team within a busy warehouse environment to meet timetable and distribution schedules

?Flexibility to work beyond normal working hours as dictated by warehouse needs.

?Developed PC skills of Microsoft Package required to undertake daily duties.

?Driver and forklift license
