Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Position Description: The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for assisting in the receiving, unpacking, storing and delivering of any supplies and equipment while acquiring familiarity with various types of shipment methods and procedures for handling customer and carrier issues. This position is also responsible for delivery and delivery receipt of all accountable items directed to the customer.

Principle Dutes

* Receives all supplies and equipment directed to work site
* Delivers inbound supplies and equipment to appropriate recipient
* Prepares forms and maintains records dealing with discrepancies and damaged merchandise
* Operates hand truck (manual or battery assisted), X-ray equipment (where applicable - special training required), fork lift (where applicable - special training required), shipping and inbound systems for package tracking and deliver

Two positions available:

* F/T Temp-to-Hire
* F/T 4-6 week Temporary

Position Requirements:

* High School diploma or equivalent education
* 1-2 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, spreadsheets and data entry
* Where applicable - fork lift training
* Where applicable - hazardous material handling/shipping training
* Must be a team player and committed to working in a quality environment
* Ability to type a minimum of 30 w.p.m. accurately
* Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills
* Excellent verbal skills
* Perform sensitive and confidential tasks
