In this position, you will be a part of the Service team, a vital part of the Operations Group of Skyline New Jersey.  This position offers a chance for advancement, if you have what it takes and strive for excellence in all you do.

The Shipping/Receiving Coordinator is responsible for the receipt and initial inspection of all incoming packages, and the shipment of outgoing freight using UPS, FedEx and other trucking companies.


RequirementsTwo years experience in a warehouse or shipping/receiving environment Good reading, writing, and communication ability Excellent organizational and customer service skills Clean driving record and a valid driver?s license Reliable transportation and a good attendance record High school diploma or equivalent Familiar with UPS and Fed Ex computer systems PC proficiency to include Word and Excel Ability and willingness to learn new software programs Forklift Experience Availability for OT
 

Key Responsibilities include:ShippingPrepare shipments by assembling, packing, protecting, and labeling containers Determine method of shipment, when not specified, by examining items to be shipped, destination, route, rate, and time of shipment Ship items by verifying identifying information and quantity and condition of items; loading and protecting items Document items shipped by recording identifying information of items and transport information
Provide freight quotes
 

ReceivingReceive items by unloading vehicles; accepting deliveries; unpacking containers Verify items received by inspecting condition of items; comparing count/measure of items to purchase order and packing list; noting discrepancies Document items received by recording identifying information Transfer orders received by routing or delivering items to requesting department

OtherPromote a safe working environmentExecute daily priorities set by managerContribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks, as needed. Maintain the company vehicles and forklifts
