As a Site Manager, you'll be responsible providing superior leadership to our locomotive servicing fleet located on near 14th and Western in Chicago. This site manager position will have approximately 12 employees reporting to it, including a site supervisor so previous leadership experience is a must! If you love the railroad and don?t mind rolling up your sleeves, this is the perfect growth opportunity for you.

The operations runs 24/7 and our crews travel throughout the Chicagoland region to service the locomotives for pre-trip. The operations manager will need to be available (on call) to support the operation.

As a Site Manager, you?ll be responsible for:

? Supervising employees in the servicing of locomotives
? Holding weekly safety meetings and daily safety briefings
? Insuring locomotives are inspected and serviced according to AAR, FRA, company and industry requirements.
? Overseeing profitability of facility
? Managing material inventory
? Training employees in railroad rules and regulations
? Traveling amoung the various railyard locations around the Chicagoland area to ensure smooth operations
? Completing all required reports accurately and on time

? Five years of small site managment (10-12 employees), preferrably with a 24/7 operation
? CDL Class A or B
? High school diploma, college degree preferred
? Computer skills in MS Office
? Extensive knowledge of AAR and FRA rules and regulations
? Detailed knowledge of car repair billing
? Excellent leadership and communication skills
