Special Accounts Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

This is a full time position. To be successful in this position, an individual must be able to perform each essential task satisfactorily.

 

? Organize Department/per account meeting minimum 1 per month.

? Manage, develop and analyze the cost vs. profit for the department (currently 10 employees)

? Monitor compliance of the team of the needs and requests from the customers

? Job file closing for every shipment

? Make sure there are not unnecessary losses due to lack of supervision (storage, late quotes, delay on transfers of documents); ensure that corrective actions are taken on operations issues to avoid repetitive errors/misunderstandings

? Complex spot quotes to customers (all modes), capacity of handling Air, Ocean, Import and Export.

? Assist and work closely with the GAM, NAM/RAM teams per account in terms of contract questions, set up of traffics and operations related matters.

? Develop the current Accounts.  Keep control of the lanes, keep relationship with the customers on an operational level.

? SOP?s issuance for all traffics, set up new lanes/traffics if necessary, solutions and best options for special shipments.

? Solve problems, stress the need of quick answers, quick actions.

? Periodical follow-up meetings with customers according to the needs

? Ensure the escalation process works to help the proper flow of the shipments

? Handle emergencies on special hours (specially Fridays after 5 pm and occasional weekends)

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

? Bachelor?s Degree required

? Good knowledge and experience in Air and Ocean Import, Air and Ocean Export

? Excellent Customer service experience required

? At least 5 years working experience in the Freight Forward industry

? Basic Customs Clearance knowledge

? Detail oriented

? Ability to multi-task, work independently and work within a team

? Excellent managerial skills

? Must be a team player

? Good computer skills are a must (Word, Excel, SAP).

? Excellent communication, organization and problem solving skills.

? Capable of handling multiple projects and one time
