Specialist Logistics/Strategic Sourcing Collaboration (N9) - Req # 2476

Basic Function : Interface with CNH Global Sourcing and Strategic Sourcing team Members. Prepare TAC (Total Acquisition Cost) Analysis for projects as requested. Communicate new Global and Strategic sourcing new supplier informatikn to sonsolidators. Establish new ocean lanes with Carrier Negotiations Team. Trac new inbound shipments at start-up. Provide strategic direction in product and information flow of N.A. destined parts and components for plants and depots - both in air or ocean configurations. Create, implement and maintain Logistics' processes that result in cost effective, timely, and visible flow of goods, including supplier to supplier moves. Establish and/or oversee infrastructure requirements in developing countries such as China, India, Turkey, Mexico and Brazil.

Accountabilities and Decision Making:

Responsible for inbound flow of parts and components, providing expertise on imports as required, for the  Industrial businesses of CNH. Monitor, analyze and report logistic costs, recoveries and flow patterns. provide recommendations and rigor into the strategic sourcing decision tool, including cost, timing, space utilization and lead-time. Determine product flows, costs, service standards and performance against logistics-defined standard.

Typical Decisions Made:


Decisions involve which ports, what carriers, vessels, processes, and programs surround expedient and cost effective delivery of I/E information, products, components, parts, and funds.  This includes multi-faceted challenges from tactical exception management to overall program design on how we package, process, and provide for and importation of materials to and from other world regions.  Decisions and influence will be heavily cast on this role in conjunction with the Customs, Parts, Domestic Distribution, and Finance.
