Station Assistant Manager

Seatac station growing and hiring an Assistant Manager. Will progress to Station Manager in 12-14 months. This organization has been in business and expanding since 1974. Over 160 employees to date throughout their 10 stations country wide including Hawaii. They specialize in moving perishable freight beyond air export, into ocean export, domestic air freight, imports and distribution services. This company is very focused on maintaining relationships with financially secure logistics market leaders that have a perishable and time sensitive sense of urgency, not just as their mission statement but in performance as well.

You will be supervising office and warehouse regular staff of about 10 people year round and temporary help during the busy season from May-Sept. During the 'season' you must be willing to work 10 hour days and open to weekends. Must have freight forwarding experience. Exposure to perishable freight a plus but not required. Domestic and/or international freight experience a plus. Looking for someone who truly believes the customer is always right and will go out of their way to make this happen and train their team to deliver the same level of excellence. Customer service experience a must. Excellent communication skills both internal and external. You will be asked to think on your feet and work in a very fast paced ever changing environment with deadlines.
Computer literate with Microsoft Office Suite.
