Supply Chain Analyst-Jacksonville DC

. MAJOR PURPOSE: As a member of the DC Operations management team, this position will provide advanced analytical support to the Company's Supply Chain organization. This position will demonstrate analytical and decision-making capabilities in a proactive and consistent manner, resulting in continuous improvement of customer service, inventory performance, DC productivity, and throughput.
II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Serve as a liaison (central point of contact) between the DCs and all other Supply Chain departments (may expand to various departments Company-wide).
*Replenishment
*Assist in the identification and resolution of inbound receiving discrepancies.
*Ensure DC compliance with respect to receiving processes by identifying routine problems and driving improvement.
*Serve as a central point of contact for interactions with the Replenishment organization including all Inbound discrepancy activities.
*Accounts Payable
*Drive process improvements that reduce receipt variances and assist A/P in the investigation of problem issues.
*Supplier Performance Management
*Assist in driving improvements in key inbound processes including: ASN compliance, Supplier Concern Forms (SCFs), and Inbound damage, etc.
*Manages and drives the local DC logistics team to ensure high levels of inventory accuracy. This will include identifying barriers to meeting/exceeding entitlement, root cause analysis, implementation of best- demonstrated practices, and creation/roll-out of new processes.
*Provide product flow analysis to maximize DC inbound/outbound throughput, including the receipt of volume and seasonal buys.
*Coordinate and execute reverse logistics activities driven by Inventory Planning to ensure the continuous, cost -effective removal of obsolete/excess inventory.
*Manage the purchase and usage rates of internal supplies relating to inbound/outbound functions.
*Responsible for customer returns process and procedural compliance to ensure a positive customer experience.
*Develop and maintain strong business relationships with DC-supported branch service teams, i.e., Branch Inventory Regional Mgrs. (BIRM), Field Inventory Specialists (FIS), Supply Chain Analysts, and others, as appropriate, to optimize Supply Chain performance.
*Support and coordinate customer-specific Supply Chain requirements while providing in-depth analysis of key performance indicators within the Supply Chain (i.e., cost-saving entitlements, customer service objectives, economic earnings growth, inventory investment, and new requirements/opportunities)
*Based on location decision, may also be responsible for effectively managing employees in assigned functions by creating/sharing a common vision/direction and an understanding of the organization's strategy. Deliver results in support of the company strategy and expectations; ensure operational excellence.
*Manage annual physical inventory process within the DC.
*Responsible for managing 4 – 8 people engaged in Inbound support processes.
*Other duties as assigned.


*Bachelor's degree in Distribution Management, Purchasing, Inventory, or Logistics and/or 3 years of related experience in distribution operations is required.
*Must have a basic understanding of the concepts and be proficient in the use of computerized inventory management systems including SAP, MOVE, Business Objects, etc.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills necessary to interact with all levels of the organization.
*Full proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
*Strong analytical, problem-solving skills.
*Certification in American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) and/or Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) is preferred.
*Identify problems and determine corrective action. Unique situations and concerns must be identified and conveyed to appropriate parties.
*Excellent interpersonal skills including a professional demeanor at all times.
*Ability to work cross-functionally in a team environment.
*Self-directed with accountability to make sound business decisions while demonstrating effective time-management and multi-tasking skills.
*Able to travel, as required.
