Systems Specialist-Distribution

The primary responsibility of the DC Systems Specialist is to be the expert user and troubleshooter for all Distribution Center systems.  This includes troubleshooting operational issues, data issues, hardware issues and system bugs.  It is expected that approximately 20% of total time will be spent on the Distribution Center floor troubleshooting, reviewing and improving procedural use of systems in our production departments as well as ensuring consistency in use across all shifts. 

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

?  Participate in Design of software solutions to ensure understanding of intended use and ability to troubleshoot operational and systemic problems.

?  Ensure documents related to Design and Development are complete and encompass operational needs.

?  Be the liaison to IT for all testing of software and systems.

?  Coordinate all Operational resources for testing as needed.

?  Ensure sufficient testing is conducted for all patches or upgrades.

?  Schedule and Coordinate the promotion of all patches and upgrades to the production environment.

?  Ensure all data that is reported is accurate and reliable.

?  Monitor reports and resolve any discrepancies with other functional department reports to ensure parity in all information company wide.

?  Function as the liaison to IT for all report design, changes, and validation.   

?  Offer ideas and suggestions for system upgrades or replacements.

?  Ensure all employees are trained in the functionality of their respective systems.

?  Develop and keep current training documentation for all systems.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

 





?  3-5 years experience in DC Operations

?  Bachelors degree, Associates degree or technical schooling preferred

?  Previous experience in a Helpdesk/Technical support role strongly preferred

?  Excellent communication skills ? written, verbal, and listening

?  Exceptional customer service

?  Prior warehouse management systems experience a plus
