TRUCK BROKER / DISPATCHER

 

Position

We are currently looking for an energetic, EXPERIENCED over the road truck DISPATCHER/BROKER.  Specific responsibilities would include:Dispatch trucks for various locations. Prepare and submit shipping instructions, coordinate pick up and delivery with shippers and receivers. Ensure compliance with interstate traffic laws and regulations and company policies. Quote and maintain rate database. Provide back up to other Logistics Coordinators and Logistics Manager. Audit freight bills; identify discrepancies in charges and correct; forward complex issues to higher level position. Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations. Investigate shipper or consignee complaints regarding lost, damaged or shortage of merchandise to determine responsibility. Complete initial preparation of claims in accordance with process procedures and requirements. Perform other duties as necessary.

 

RequirementsMust have prior over-the-road BROKERAGE experience High school diploma or equivalent mandatory Honesty and Integrity Strong negotiating skills Knowledge of shipping and truck transport Strong math skills Good decision making, organization and team building skills Ability to operate a computer and supporting software Carrier relationships and current business is a plus

Salary
