Job Opening: Training Supervisor

Job Summary:
Oversee the process of training warehouse associates from the on-boarding step to fully competent in both technical skills and overall job knowledge, focusing primarily on order selectors. This position will work closely with the facility Operations Team, Field HR team and Corporate Training team to create an environment that is conducive to a quality training experience. This will include the hiring, training, and supervision of facility trainers who will deliver appropriate training programs in accordance with corporate training guidelines.

Job Responsibilities: Provide basic technical skills training and certification Certification of overall job knowledge of positions being trained Mentoring, coaching and counseling of new associates Managing performance and providing feedback Hiring and training of new trainers Managing trainer performance Reporting upwards on overall training performance Work closely with Corporate/Regional trainers to insure consistency of all training programs.

 

Job Requirements: Overall understanding of warehouse operations, and in particular the job of warehouse selector. Excellent verbal and written communications skills Detail oriented Must be approachable, and have a good attitude. Basic understanding of Adult Learning concepts Demonstrated ability to coach and develop people Basic PC skills (MS Office) Ability to function in a rapid-paced, high-demand environment with frequent changes in work demands Ability to track and maintain progress of all trainees using existing systems and procedures Ability to translate corporate training initiatives into appropriate local initiatives that meet local needs and adhere to corporate guidelines
