Transportation Analyst

We are currently searching for a Transportation Analyst to join our Team.  The Transportation Analyst will be responsible for providing technical, analytical and operational support to the Transportation Department. 


Essential Functions:Prepares inbound Transportation plans and executes using internet-based (ASP) TMS software. Performs planning and execution of retail store delivery - including store opening projects. Assists Transportation staff with mapping new processes and establishing SOP's. Reviews old processes and conducts gap analysis - update SOP's as needed. Establishes and maintain cross-functional relationships relative to the project process -ensure that adequate lines of communication exist both vertically and horizontally. Reviews and analyzes management reports.  Presents options and solutions. Designs, establishes and maintains databases in Excel or Access.  Collects and organizes data from a variety of sources including: driver logs, trip sheets, vendor websites, and internal systems.  Prepares presentations in Word, Powerpoint or other media. Work on other projects as assigned.

 

Requirements:BA or BS in Logistics, Finance or Engineering 1-3 years of prior experience as a Transportation/Logistics Analyst Well developed verbal and written communication skills Organized and capable of multitasking; must be detail oriented Solid PC skills including MS Office Suite and internet (ASP) applications. Intermediate analytical skills to include quantitative and statistical capabilities. Intermediate knowledge of standard transportation processes and practices including DOT and other pertinent government regulations. Organizational, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
